Albert Heijn is the leading Dutch food retail chain with a marketshare of 34,8% (2020). The assigments for Albert Heijn included the hypermarket format Albert Heijn XL,
a supermarket format and a pick-up-point format.

The concept for Albert Heijn XL format is total new thinking regarding layout. From rational and logistic thinking to an inspiring food hall ambience that communicates the love for food. A layout that encourages and emphasizes a browsing customer behaviour and interaction between the staff and the shopper.

The Albert Heijn Supermarket concept is developed to fulfill the everyday shopping trip for a city customer; grab and go, ready-made meals and a convenience offer.
All dressed in an inspirational and contemporary framework with integrated omnichannel design solutions.
