About
Coop is one of the biggest grocery retailers in Sweden with a market share of 19% (2017).
The new flagship store is situated in a new district in Stockholm called ”Hagastaden”. The store focuses
on convenience, food-tech, local produce, sustainability and smart digital solutions such as Scan & Pay.
Simply scan and pay the groceries with your smart phone and walk out. Coop Hagastaden aimes to create
a destination and community space for the district. A place to eat, meet and co-work – home away from home!
The store is also a natural extension of the modern smart home - a place for innovations. For example
the store has a vertical farm and is self-supporting within herbs. As a Coop-member you can also rent
a space to grow your own plants - how cool is that!
Within the pop-up concept ”Goda Grannar” Coop invites small local food entrepreneurs to create a platform
for the brand and to emphasize local community. Altogether Coop Hagastaden is quite a step away from
a traditional grocery store – welcome!
The retail concept was developed by Studio Peter Lundbergh in collaboration with Coop (CBS).
News
2022–10–10 / Coop Hagastaden win the title “This year´s challenger” at Dagligvarugalan. A Swedish annual competition
within the grocery store sector. The store was also nominated in two other categories; “Best store” and “Best vegan store”.
2021-03-04 / Coop Hagastaden is selected by IGD as one of ten nordic stores to visit in 2021
